Congratulations to students who were acknowledged in the Presentation Assembly held today. It was wonderful to have so many family members and supporters of Beaconsfield Primary School in attendance. It was pleasing to once again host this special event in our school hall.
Our 2025 Student Leadership Council were also presented with a certificate and badge at the assembly. The newly elected leaders are Summer Brooks, Noah Cardow, Savanna Hill, Ethan Le Mercier, Jackson Miller, Lochie Murfet, Millie Murfet and Holly Richards. Congratulations to these students.
Many thanks to local organisations, businesses and individuals who continue to sponsor awards for students. Your ongoing support is much appreciated, and the event would not be as successful without your contribution.
Thank you to Mrs Jayne Stewart, Mrs Katrina Hillier and Mr Shaun Sexton for their organisation and coordination of the assembly. Thank you also to Mrs Hayley Le Mercier and Ms Larni Monks who catered for the afternoon tea following the assembly.
2025 Staffing and Class Placements
There are several staffing changes for 2025. Congratulation to Mrs Angela Hillard on her successful appointment as an EFA to Legana Primary School. Thank you, Ange, for your contribution to our school over a number of years. My well wishes are extended to Mrs Kloe Wright who will take a year of leave to travel with her family. Congratulations to Mrs Cheryl Broomhall who has been appointed as the Instructional Coach and AST for 2025 and will continue at Beaconsfield Primary. We will welcome back Mrs Tahlia Ross and Mrs Hannah Shaw-Johnston after being on maternity leave.
In other staffing information. In other staffing information, we will welcome a new staff member, Mrs Shelley Batt who will join our teaching team.
Students will visit their 2025 classrooms and teachers on Friday. This is an opportunity for students to become familiar with their new learning environment and their class teacher (where possible). Class placements will be sent home in reports on Friday afternoon. Staff have worked meticulously to ensure that classes are balanced, taking into consideration students’ academic, social and emotional needs. There will not be an opportunity to make changes to these classes.
End of Year Picnic – Scottsdale Pool
Students have received information about the School Picnic to be held at the Scottsdale Pool next Wednesday 18 December. Students will travel by bus under the supervision of Beaconsfield Primary School Staff. Qualified lifeguards will be on duty at the pool to assist with monitoring students throughout the day. Parents/carers have previously completed the Major Excursions and Aquatic Consent Form earlier in the year giving consent for their child to attend. If any of your child’s medical information has changed during the year, please contact the office ASAP to update these details.
Students will need to bring a packed lunch and drink. Access to the kiosk will be available but this will be limited to small snacks. Students are reminded to be sun safe by wearing a wide brim or bucket style hat, regularly applying sunscreen (provided), and wearing a rash vest (or similar) whilst swimming and out of the water.
Due to the requirements in planning an event such as this, no additional family/parents will be able to attend the event. This is to meet the expectations of DECYP’s Risk Management Procedures.
Year 6 End of Year Activities
Next week, Year 6 students will attend ‘A Big Day Out’ followed by their Leavers’ Celebration held at the school hall from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. We look forward to celebrating with students as they conclude their formal schooling at Beaconsfield Primary School. Best wishes to students as they transition to high school in 2025.
Knock, Knock!
Bindy, Holly, and Grace from Happy Habits performed Knock, Knock’ for students in Kinder to Year 4 last week. This was an innovative and interactive show, that empowers young people with social and emotional learning. Thanks for coming to Beaconsfield Primary School.

Christmas Concert
On Tuesday, December 10th, we held our annual Christmas Concert, and it was a wonderful event! We had fantastic attendance from our school community, who came together to support our students and celebrate the end of the school year. All students from Pre-Kinder to Year 6 did an amazing job performing their songs, with plenty of creative handmade Christmas accessories and great actions to accompany the performances. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2025!
