A reminder to families that end of year reports will be distributed on 13 December 2024.
The report will show your child’s learning achievement on a 9-point visual scale for students in Years Prep to 6. The 9-point scale shows where your child’s learning achievement is against the expected standard for their year level.
Last week, 16 Year 5 students, nominated themselves for the Student Leadership Council for 2025. Applicants presented speeches to students in Years 3-5 as well as staff. Well done to all students who have been a part of this process. Students were well prepared and presented themselves well on the day. Announcements of the 2025 Leaders will be shared with individuals in Week 9. Successful students will be announced in the Presentation Assembly. There will be other leadership opportunities in 2025 for Year 6 students.
New Addition to the Playground – Swings!
There has been much anticipation to use the new swings in both the Early Childhood and Upper Primary Playgrounds. Students were excited to play on the swings during recess and lunch time this week. The addition of the new play equipment has been generously supported by our School Association purchasing one set of swings. This would not have been possible without the fundraising efforts of our school community through the Colour Fun Run – thank you everyone!
Schools Triathlon Challenge
Well done to our triathletes last Friday! A small group of students - Nate, John, Caleb and Jasper, took part in the Schools Triathlon Challenge in Devonport last week. It is a fantastic event, with huge numbers of students participating from across schools in the north. Our students participated in individual and teams events. It is great to see students being prepared to challenge themselves and give something new a go.
Year 6 Orientation Day to Exeter High School
Our Year 6 students had a wonderful day at Exeter High last week as part of their transition to Year 7 for 2025. Students engaged in three lessons throughout the day, including English, Science and PE. Students were positive about their day and are looking forward to the new year.
