Congratulations to students who competed at the recent TPSSA Cross Country Carnival. It was excellent conditions for running and a great atmosphere amongst the visiting schools.
Many thanks to the volunteers who supported our BBQ, Laura, Emma, Elizabeth, Carrie, Simon and George Town Lions Club – events like these aren’t possible without the support of such people.
Students who finished in the top 10 may choose to participate in the upcoming Tasmanian Schools Cross Country Carnival at Symmons Plains on 18 June 2024. Forms are available through the office for students wanting to participate.

Mid-Year Reporting
We place high value on family partnerships and the role you play in your child’s education. As such, reporting conversations will be available during Week 9 and 10 of Term 2. This is an opportunity to share information about your child and discuss their academic, social, and emotional development.
The online booking system will be open for appointments to be made with your child’s Class Teacher from 10 June 2024. Bookings will be available from 24 June – 4 July. Details of how to book appointments will be provided soon.
Upcoming
Moderation Day – Friday 7 June (School Closed)
Moderation Day is held across Tasmania each year to enable teachers to work with other schools to ensure that they have consistent student ratings when they report against the Australian Curriculum. This means that students producing work of a similar standard get the same rating regardless of which school they attend.
King’s Birthday Holiday – Monday 10 June (School Closed)
Cricket Blast Program – Year 1-4
This week we welcomed Cricket Tasmania to run workshops with our students in Years 1-4. As a part of the program students will get a free personalised t-shirt in a BBL team colour of their choice. We look forward to seeing students skills progress over the coming weeks.
